Dear Lindsey Families,

Thank you to our Lindsey PTO and Families for making Staff Appreciation Week wonderful for our entire staff!

Donuts at Dawn - Students coming in late from after Donuts at Dawn will not be marked tardy. However, they still need to stop by the office so we can sign them in and get lunch orders. There will be 4 office staff managing this so that it goes as quickly as possible.

For the remainder of the year I will spotlight one of the rules from our Parent Student Handbook in each building newsletter.

RULE 5: CAUSING PHYSICAL INJURY, FIGHTING, UNAUTHORIZED CONTACT OR HARASSMENT: No student shall contact, harass, or otherwise behave in a manner or provoke others to behave in a manner, that may cause physical or emotional injury to anyone on school property at any time.

• Engagement Scenario: Linda was annoyed by a classmate. So she told a few friends to call her names, throw mulch at her, and isolate her from the group.

• Questions to Discuss: Is this kind? How would you act differently if a peer annoyed you?

HB 288 News: This is a reminder that students will view the videos for House Bill 288 on Tuesday, May 14th in the gym. The times are as follows: 

• 5th grade - 12:40 to 1:10

• 4th grade - 1:15 to 1:45

• 3rd grade - 1:50 to 2:20

Students who have opted out will attend a study hall in the band room with Mr. Perusek. As a school district, we recognize that this is a private matter and many families would prefer to handle these conversations at home. Therefore, there will be no discussion following the videos. Students who have questions or concerns will be encouraged to visit the school counselor and social worker on staff. The school day will resume as normal.
