Principal News

Dear Lindsey Families,

Thanks to everyone who came out for our first Open House-Scavenger-Hunt-Style! The goal was to have an interactive event where students and families toured the school, met teachers, and participated in school-wide activities. Mission accomplished! If you have pictures from the event, please send them our way. As a reminder, teachers will create videos explaining classroom expectations, procedures, and content. These will be shared and posted by September 1st.

Back to School Reminders

Morning Arrival

Students being dropped off will be allowed to enter the building beginning at 8:40 am. Students may exit cars starting at 8:35 am as staff will be available to monitor students starting at that time. Our goal is to have everyone unloaded and in classrooms by 8:50 am for classes to begin.

Attendance:

Daily attendance is required. If your student will be absent, you must call the attendance line at 440-729-5981 with the reason your student will not be in school. Please make every effort to notify the office before 8:40 so every student is accounted for in the building at the beginning of the day.

Transportation:

Please be sure to check Infinite Campus for bus information. Times may be adjusted as routes update.

If your student is assigned to a bus in the afternoon, the office will assume your child is boarding that bus at the end of the day. If there is no bus assignment in Infinite Campus, the office will assume your student is a daily car rider in the pick-up line.

If there is any change to the regular end of day transportation, you must complete the End of Day Transportation Form to notify the main office where your child needs to go at the end of the day.

Meals:

The daily breakfast and lunch menu can be found on the Lindsey Elementary webpage by clicking the Dining link, or through the West G app. The cost for an Elementary Meal is $3.35.

Personal Items:

Please label all personal items that your student brings to school so we can return anything that is misplaced. This includes your student’s backpack and water bottle brought daily.

Dress Code:

Please dress appropriately for the weather as students will be indoors and outside during the school day. Following the Elementary Student Handbook, bare midriffs, tank tops, muscle shirts and transparent shirts, and spaghetti-strap tops are not permitted. Shorts must be of appropriate length and in good taste. Students must wear close-toed shoes for recess safety.
