Dear Lindsey Families,
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful break and enjoyed time with family and friends! It was nice seeing students' smiling faces Monday morning.
With the start of a new semester comes MAP Testing. Students took the MAP Math this week. Next week, MAP Reading and MAP Science (for 5th graders the following week) will occur. See the schedule below and reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions. The schedule is below this message.

Local author and illustrator, Liliana Leone, is coming to visit Lindsey in person on Wednesday, 1/31/24! She will present to each grade level in an interactive format, covering the inspiration for her characters and ideas for creative writing -- all while incorporating some Italian, Spanish and French languages and historical facts. Her books can be ordered through her website (see below flier) until 2/5/24. The flier explains how you can get 25% off and get the books autographed! There is a link below the flier that connects to the author's website for ordering. The program is called "All Around the World." Mrs. Murry will discuss the author, her books, and some fun facts during Library class.
The ESCWR runs the West Geauga preschool program for children ages 3-5 years, which includes both special needs students and typical peer role models. They currently have an afternoon preschool program for West Geauga families and have opened a morning session that we wanted to let everyone know about. They have the capacity of accepting 8 more role models and 6 more special needs students at this time. With this expansion, they would like to let more families know of this opportunity. Please contact Wendy Bartolovich at wbartolovich@escwr.org for more information.

The following students competed against over 27,000 other students across the nation from 44 different states in the Noetic Learning Math Contest. We are proud of them all! We had 45 out of our 80 students earn a National Honorable Mention, meaning that they earned above the 50th percentile. We are excited to share that 4 of our students made it onto Noetic's National Honor Roll, meaning that they scored in the TOP 10 PERCENT amongst over 27,000 students!!!
