October 12, 2023
Dear Lindsey Families,
I am sure that all of our families are looking forward to the long weekend. Remember, there is no school on Friday, October 13, 2023. Our PTO is sponsoring the Fall Fest at Patterson's Fruit Farm. I look forward to seeing many of you there!
It was so nice seeing so many students wearing blue for our Blue Ribbon Picture! We will celebrate more in November, but for now, enjoy the pictures below.
We have several events coming up in the next few weeks. Our 3rd graders will take the fall state reading test on 10/18 and 10/19.
The first quarter of school ends on Friday, 10/20, which means conferences are around the corner! Thank you to everyone who has signed up for a conference. If you need the sign up link, please contact your child's teacher.
On Tuesday, October 31st, we conduct our annual Halloween Parade at 9:15 am. Our classroom parties will follow this from 9:45 - 10:15 am.
Sincerely,
Melissa Becerra, Principal

Pajama Day
Join Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) for Pajama Day on October 26th. SHP is a national nonprofit that builds and delivers beds to kids who are sleeping on the floor. Giving a kid a bed not only gives them a good night’s sleep, but it also provides physical and emotional health benefits. When you participate in this super fun event you help SHP make sure that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
How does Pajama Day work?
We invite all students and teachers to wear their PJs to school on October 26th and bring a donation in support of building beds for kids.
How much money should my kid take to school on Pajama Day?
Your donation is not required for your child to join us on Pajama Day. If you’re able to donate, our school has chosen $1 for each donation. Students may bring in more than $1. The money collection will start on Monday, 10/23. All the funds we raise stay right here in our community to help local families in need.
The video below will to provide you with more information. Students will talk about this event and action with their teachers between now and 10/26.

Monday Munchies
Monday Munchies is a great way to show our appreciation for our R.C. Lindsey Elementary teachers and staff. We're asking YOU to provide 3-4 dozen treats. Decadent or nutritious, homemade or purchased with love, the choice is yours. Thank you for making Mondays a little more enjoyable!
