Dear Lindsey Families,
It's hard to believe that winter break is just around the corner. The highlight of this week has been the Holiday Shop. Thank you to the PTO for organizing such a fun event, giving students the chance to purchase gifts for loved ones, and bringing lots of smiles from the joyous event! Thank you to the families for supporting the event and for sending students with gift tags, lists, and bags.
Indoor Recess Items: This week has been rather mild as far as December goes, but we all know what brutal temperatures do to recess. Students go outside as much as possible; however, indoor recesses are bound to occur. Students may bring items to school for indoor recess. Electronics are not permitted, items must be stored in backpacks until recess and put back right after recess, and most importantly - students are responsible for their own belongings. Lastly, while playing with and showing cards are allowed, trading cards is not allowed.
Upcoming Event for Lindsey CARES: We will be collecting warm items such as sweatshirts, sweatpants, socks, and throws for local veterans. Our collection will start on 1/16/24 and go through 2/5/23. More information will come soon. If you'd like to get a head start on shopping for warm items for our heroes, you may send the items upon return from winter break.
Have a restful and joyful holiday season with family and friends!
Sincerely,
Melissa Becerra, Principal
