Dear Lindsey Families,

Welcome back! - We hope you had a wonderful and refreshing break. With just over two months of school left, there’s still plenty to learn and accomplish!

To kick off April with a little fun, we had a very important drill on April 1st—a Flood Drill! I came on the announcements and declared the need for the drill due to incoming storms, instructing everyone to follow the protocol: stop, lift your feet off the ground, roll up your pants, and put your hands in the air… for two minutes. After about 30 seconds, I finally said, "Gotcha! Happy April Fool’s Day!"

The building erupted in laughter—some students cracking up because they thought it was real, while others proudly proclaimed they knew it was a joke all along! Teachers even captured some hilarious pictures of the moment. It was a fun way to start the month with smiles all around!

• Incoming 6th Grade Families (current 5th graders) - Look for the flyer further below about a visit to the Middle School and a Parent Night.

Attendance - Congratulations to 5th Grade for winning the most improved attendance from Quarter 2 to Quarter 3! They're attendance grew .2%! As a reward, they’ll enjoy a fun and engaging grade-level assembly, Science of Magic, on Tuesday, 5/27. Great job!

• All three grades have had an attendance rate above 95% each quarter this year.

• Grades 3 and 4 will participate in the same assembly, but will do so together.

Ohio State Testing - Spring testing is just around the corner, and our students have been working hard all year. Teachers are encouraging them to get a good night’s rest, do their best, and trust in all they’ve learned. Thank you for helping remind your students to stay calm and confident!
