August 14, 2024
Dear Lindsey Families,
The storm of this past week presented many challenges for our community and district. We sincerely appreciate everyone's flexibility as we prepare to safely bring back our teachers and students for the first day of school on August 20.
Today, student schedules and bus assignments for the 2024-2025 school year were posted in Infinite Campus. The district does not mail this information home - you will need to login to your Infinite Campus account to receive your student's class schedule/teacher assignment and transportation details.
Reminder - If you have not yet completed your Annual Census Review, this must be done now. Individual reminders have been sent and will continue to go out to those who are past due. If you are a new family to the district, you are not required to complete the Census Review this school year.
If you need assistance logging in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, please contact the main office.
Lindsey's Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 15th. At the designated time for your grade level, homeroom teachers will give a brief presentation for families (including students). The rest of the event will be an Open House format, where families walk around, meet teachers, and complete a Scavenger Hunt while touring the school. Teachers will start their presentations on time, so please be sure to arrive a few minutes early so you can find the classroom.

Hello Wolverine Families,
My name is Grace Titgemeier and I am the new School Counselor at Lindsey Elementary. I am very excited to meet each of you this school year. This will be my fourth year being a school counselor. The past two years I worked with middle school students. I graduated from the University of Dayton for undergrad and John Carroll University for graduate school. I grew up on the east side of Cleveland and am a proud Cleveland sports fan! I look forward to meeting everyone during the Open House this week.
If you would like to contact me, please email me at grace.titgemeier@westg.org
MORNING:
We start letting students into the building at 8:30 a.m. Busses drop off at front doors.
For parent morning drop-offs, we would like families to drop off students in the side parking lot. You will get into 3 - 4 lines and these will funnel into one line of 7 cars that runs the length of the sidewalk to drop off students. Students will be directed to walk down the sidewalk and enter through the front doors. Students may exit cars starting at 8:35 am. Staff will be outside to monitor students starting at 8:35 am. (See the map below.)
Please know that if your child is having breakfast at school, this will need to be efficient so that all students can get to class as quickly as possible. Our goal is to have everyone unloaded and in classrooms by 8:50 am for classes to begin.
AFTERNOON:
If you are picking up your child at the end of the day, please be sure to complete the End of Day Transportation form found on the Lindsey website. If this is a permanent situation, please specify that in the notes sections. Parents pickup students at the side of building. Form 3 lines that funnel into one line next to sidewalk.
If there is any change in the normal schedule (ie: early pick up, change in daily routine), please make sure you fill out the early release option on the electronic form. Students should be picked up by 2:45 pm. The form will close daily at 9:30 am - after that time, please email or the call office.
Students are released to the pick-up line at 3:15. Please have the car tag visible in your car. If you have a car tag from last year, you can use that.
Looking to get supplies for the upcoming school year?
The school fees you pay cover all school supplies for your child. We do ask that each student bring a water bottle (reusable and plastic) and personal headphones. If you'd like to contribute additional supplies, we are asking for the following optional items: Dixie cups (3 oz or 5 oz), Ziploc bags (gallon, quart or snack), disinfectant wipes, and Kleenex.
