November 22, 2024
With the holiday season just around the corner, there are many exciting events upcoming both at the middle school and in the community. Please be sure to check out all of the flyers below.
As the end of November quickly approaches, it is hard to believe that we have less than one month left in the first semester. We are so proud of all that our students have accomplished and look forward to finishing the second quarter strong!
Reminder - School and athletic fees must be paid through Infinite Campus or you can write a check made out to West Geauga Board of Education. If you have not paid, fees are past due and must be paid promptly. Please contact Becky Edwards at becky.edwards@westg.org with any questions.
When the new semester begins in January, our 7th graders will be participating in the D.A.R.E. program with Deputy Walker. This will take place during their specials rotations once a week.
Sincerely,
Meagan Bellan, Principal

Greetings West Geauga Middle School Families. My name is Anya Meyer and I'm the Library Media Specialist for the District. I'm looking very forward to helping our students and have created a website for students and families that focus on our Library online resources here: https://sites.google.com/westg.org/library-media-wg-schools/home. I am scheduled to be in 7th and 8th ELA classrooms on November 1st and November 8th to teach students about online literacy tools that we have available and I look forward to supporting their learning in the classrooms.

Tardy Policy
Please be aware, that we are issuing consequences for unexcused tardiness to school. Each morning, we will track that students are in their first period class ready to learn by 7:25 am. If a student were to earn 3 unexcused tardies, a lunch detention will be issued. Lunch detentions will continue to be issued if a student hits 6 unexcused tardies and at 9 unexcused tardies in the quarter. If a student accumulates 12 or more unexcused tardies to school, an In-School Restriction will be issued. At WGMS, we are aligning our student tardy policy with the student tardy policy at WGHS to establish consistency. Please reach out to Miss Moeschberger should you have any questions.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or just want to participate monetarily, we appreciate the support from all the Middle School and High School families. Your donations allow us to do what we do, whether that be time, money, or both!! The grade with the most families to join wins a PIZZA PARTY! LINK: https://bit.ly/ptomember
