Given the complexities of the digital world our students face, we have partnered with the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio to provide a two-day instructional series for our students that will occur in science classes on February 24th and February 25th.

With today’s students, constant connectivity is a way of life. The challenge is how we prepare them for living safely in a digital world as students gain access to the Internet at increasingly younger ages.

This series is meant to empower youth to make good and informed decisions in the digital world. It is not solely an ‘internet safety’ program, and does not implore scare tactics. Rather, it uses developmentally appropriate language, situations and discussion to build a foundation for healthy, safe and positive use of both the internet and social media.

If you prefer your child not participate in this program, please contact your child's science teacher or Mrs. Bellan at meagan.bellan@westg.org by February 14, 2024.

Reminder - School and athletic fees must be paid through Infinite Campus or you can write a check made out to West Geauga Board of Education. Billing statements were sent out this week. When the new semester begins in January, our 7th graders will be participating in the D.A.R.E. program with Deputy Walker. This will take place during their specials rotations once a week.
