March 7, 2025
Dear WGMS families:
March is a busy and exciting time here at West Geauga Middle School. As we move closer to spring, we continue to focus on academic growth and building a strong school community.
This month, we are encouraging students to stay engaged in their learning and finish the quarter strong. Whether it's through class projects, reading challenges, or hands-on activities, we want every student to feel supported and motivated to do their best. Parents, please continue to check in with your child about their progress and reach out to teachers with any questions.
March also brings opportunities for students to get involved outside the classroom. There are so many ways for students to explore their interests and build friendships in offered clubs and athletics.
As we look ahead to the final stretch of the school year, let’s continue working together to support our students in becoming responsible, respectful, and resilient learners.
The winter sports season has come to a close, and spring sports have started! Hopefully the change in athletic seasons will also bring a warmer change to the weather! Information on spring sports for 7th and 8th grade students has been shared via email and can also be found on the WGMS webpage.
Be sure to check the calendar and save the dates as many events are coming up over the next several months.
Sincerely,
Meagan Bellan, Principal

Fun in the Library!
Three WGMS Students were selected to participate in the OMEA district 7 honors band. Evelyn Hosemann, Nora Joyce, and Suzie Trentanelli represented our school in this outstanding event, and we are proud of them for their performance and representing the West G Band program so well!
Today, the class of 2029 placed their thumbprints on their class mural. This beautiful mural was designed and painted by Nora Joyce, with the help of Kayden Udell and Adelyn Link. We love this annual tradition!
Tardy Policy
Please be aware, that we are issuing consequences for unexcused tardiness to school. Each morning, we will track that students are in their first period class ready to learn by 7:25 am. If a student were to earn 3 unexcused tardies, a lunch detention will be issued. Lunch detentions will continue to be issued if a student hits 6 unexcused tardies and at 9 unexcused tardies in the quarter. If a student accumulates 12 or more unexcused tardies to school, an In-School Restriction will be issued. At WGMS, we are aligning our student tardy policy with the student tardy policy at WGHS to establish consistency. Please reach out to Miss Moeschberger should you have any questions.
Your Here Comes the Bus feedback is important and we encourage you to share your experiences, both positive and negative. Please use this link to provide your feedback: Here Comes the Bus Experience Feedback.
