Dear WGMS families:
Don't forget to register your 6th grade student for Camp Fitch! There's still plenty of room for your student. The cost is $150/student for the dates of May 12, 13, 14. You can check out the website for more information.
As the weather becomes warmer, we have a few dress code reminders directly out of the WGMS Student-Parent Handbook. Revealing clothing is prohibited, including transparent shirts. Undergarments should not be visible. Shorts are allowed, but must be appropriate and in good taste. Teacher and/or administrative discretion shall determine whether shorts are appropriate. These rules will be enforced.
Sincerely,
Meagan Bellan, Principal

We received an email from Nowak Tours, for those who are going on either our 7th grade Cleveland day trip, or the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip:
As a result of the growing number of vendors that are no longer accepting cash, Nowak Tours is now using Till debit cards to distribute all included on-trip expenses, including meal stipends. Sign-up for Till today, explore the features to get comfortable and ensure your kid is ready for their trip.
What is Till?
Till is a FREE app and debit card that teaches kids financial literacy through real-world experience. With Till, kids learn about money management before, during, and after the tour, while parents can oversee and guide their progress.
See how Till will work on tour (and beyond!)
Benefits of Till beyond your tour:
User Friendly: Available as a physical and digital debit card.
Easy to use: The FREE Till debit card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. There are NO monthly fees, overdraft charges and no minimum balances required.
Safe: If your Till card is lost or stolen, the traveler or family can freeze it immediately in the Till app and order a new card.
Convenient: Tour Directors will distribute funds to each traveler’s Till card for daily lunches. For extra purchases (like souvenirs!), parents can send funds instantly and ensure travelers always have the money they need.
Real-world learning: Travelers gain experience managing money on their trip and beyond.
If you have trouble signing up or if you have any additional questions about Till, they can be reached at (424) 377-8615 or by emailing nowaktours@tillfinancial.io.
The students got to see a preview of the High School Spring musical - SHREK - on Tuesday, April 1. And it was no joke! See below on how your can get tickets for the show that will be in the middle school gymnasium April 10, 11, 12 and 13.
Tardy Policy
Please be aware, that we are issuing consequences for unexcused tardiness to school. Each morning, we will track that students are in their first period class ready to learn by 7:25 am. If a student were to earn 3 unexcused tardies, a lunch detention will be issued. Lunch detentions will continue to be issued if a student hits 6 unexcused tardies and at 9 unexcused tardies in the quarter. If a student accumulates 12 or more unexcused tardies to school, an In-School Restriction will be issued. At WGMS, we are aligning our student tardy policy with the student tardy policy at WGHS to establish consistency. Please reach out to Miss Moeschberger should you have any questions.
Your Here Comes the Bus feedback is important and we encourage you to share your experiences, both positive and negative. Please use this link to provide your feedback: Here Comes the Bus Experience Feedback.
