We have a bunch of exciting end-of-the-year activities planned at Westwood Elementary School. Many of these will be done in the classrooms and some will be done as grade level activities. We look forward to ending the year with much fun and learning activities.
Thank you to PTO for all of your assistance during our BOGO Bookfair. The students enjoy these experiences and the opportunity to expand their personal libraries.
The deadline to opt out of the HB288 Child Sexual Abuse, Dating Violence and Sexual Violence curriculum is April 29, 2024. Please refer to the email previously sent that includes curriculum details for your review, along with a link to the opt-out form if you do not wish for your child to participate.

Hello, Westwood Families!
We completed our first week of the Gold Tray Game in the cafeteria - a new PBIS initiative. The students are very excited about earning extra recess! We were overwhelmed by the positive response; there were ties at each grade level! Each week we have a new goal and each class has a fresh chance to be the weekly winner! Keep up the good work, Westwood!
Congratulations to the week one winners!

Field Day
It's hard to believe another school year is coming to an end. But it wouldn't be complete without a final celebration on Field Day!
Mrs. Nicolosi and PTO are teaming up on Friday, May 24th to bring the kids a day of fun. Mrs. Nicolosi has organized a morning of games and activities. Following that, PTO will provide a cookout lunch with options of grilled hamburger, hot dog, or a PB&J Uncrustable, along with fruits and veggies. Please note that the cafeteria will be closed that day. Your child is welcome to pack a lunch from home if desired. Teachers will be sending out more info in the coming week and asking for your child's lunch choice.
Please join us for the fun by signing up to assist throughout the day. We also need donations of food brought to the office the day prior. Refer to the link below for more details and to sign up. Thanks in advance for your support!
