It is difficult to imagine that we are completing the month of February this week. Our students and staff are preparing for the variety of "Leap Week' activities that our PTO has planned for us!

Hello, Westwood Families!
Even though the temperatures are still a little chilly it is nice to see more sunshine!
In my conversations with students, I have started talking about next year. For some students, this means a new teacher and new classmates, but for our second graders, they will move to a different building! We have practiced introducing ourselves to new classmates, icebreakers, and ways to use our eyes to look for classmates who may need someone to sit with at lunch or someone to play with at recess. Car rides and dinner conversations are wonderful opportunities to practice these social skills with family members.

It is Leap Week at Westwood Elementary School. The Westwood PTO is sponsoring a scavenger hunt and spirit days all week long. Our students are excited about this "Leap Year" that occurs every four Years! Please see the flyer below for details!
