The Spring-like weather has our children enjoying the outdoors a bit more than typical for this time of year. Please make sure to send your child to school with the appropriate Winter weather gear as the weather changes!
Thank you to all of our families that attended our 2nd-grade Culture presentations last week. Seeing so much support for our students' hard work was great.
Please be on the lookout for the Winter MAP results that will be coming home with your students. Many teachers will be discussing these at conferences. Thank you for your continued support of this work.

Hello, Westwood Families!
Within the last week, we recognized some of Westwood’s GRRR8 Wolverines! Students receive a ‘Pawsitive’ PBIS office referral for displaying our three Rs: Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn. Then, the names of these students are entered into a raffle to be a Westwood GRRR8 Wolverine and receive a t-shirt! We awarded four students per grade level for the first semester. Thank you to the PTO for purchasing the t-shirts. We look forward to seeing our GRRR8 Wolverines wearing these shirts in our building!
This month, I will begin a third and final round of No Place for Hate lessons. All lessons will focus on bullying prevention strategies and the importance of being an ally or upstander. Kindergarteners will read The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade by Justin Roberts. First and second graders will read My Secret Bully by Trudy Ludwig. I am looking forward to these conversations with your students
