Hello, Westwood Families,
Welcome to the second quarter! I hope you have enjoyed the vibrant fall foliage!
Next week, I will visit classrooms to present the No Place for Hate Pledge. The No Place for Hate initiative, coordinated by the Anti-Defamation League, focuses on accepting differences, tolerance, inclusion, and respect. Students can sign the pledge and participate in three discussion-based activities promoting a positive school climate. If you prefer for your student to opt out of these activities, please contact Mrs. Watson via email at megan.watson@westg.org.
Below is the No Place for Hate Pledge:
I PROMISE to do my best to treat everyone fairly.
I PROMISE to do my best to be kind to everyone - even if they are not like me.
IF I SEE someone being hurt or bullied, I will tell a teacher.
EVERYONE should be able to feel safe and happy in school.
I WANT OUR SCHOOL to be No Place for Hate.
Please contact me with any questions.
